Recipe Name: Chocolate Velvet Cheesecake
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3 Tbs granulated sugar
1/4 cup margarine -melted
Filling:
2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese - softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 package (6 oz) Semi Sweet real chocolate chips - melted slowly
3 Tbs almond flavored liqueur
Topping:
2 cups sour cream
2 Tbs granulated sugar
Preparation:
Instructions:
Crust: Pre heat oven to 325
Mix crumbs, pecans, granulated sugar and margarine, press unto bottom of a 9 –inch springform pan. Bake 10 minutes
Filling:
Beat cream cheese and brown sugar at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in liqueur and melted chocolate. Pour over crust. Bake 35 minutes at 325.
Increase oven temp to 425
Topping:
Mix Sour cream and granulated sugar; carefully spread over top of cheesecake. Bake 10 minutes at 425. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate. Garnish with chocolate leaves, if desired.
